How this reference is made
Japan Climate Atlas is an independent, data-led reference for comparing long-term climate patterns at selected Japanese Meteorological Agency observatories.
Source-first comparisons
Every displayed climate value and guide table is organized from the Japan Meteorological Agency’s published Tables of Climatological Normals for 1991–2020. Pages name the period and link to the primary source.
What we do not claim
Climate normals are not a daily forecast. This site does not provide weather alerts, safety advice, visa guidance, medical advice, transport-disruption advice, price predictions or a universal “best time” recommendation.
Updates and corrections
When a source value, method or page scope changes, the relevant source and data note will be reviewed with the update. The site keeps the observatory labels visible because a city normal does not represent every neighbourhood, mountain area or island.
Advertising boundary
Editorial conclusions are not sold to advertisers. If advertising is enabled, ads will be visibly distinct from editorial material and this page and the Privacy page will be updated to reflect the active services.
